I think there should be some old school high school schoolyard ass kicking committed against docotr #1, and while he is cowering in a ball of pain on the concrete, you should take your copay back out of his wallet.
He almost killed you. And sure, anyone can make a mistake. But, you make a mistake at a car wash, you get hit with a wet rag.. a doctor makes a mistake and his E&O Insurance needs to be put to it.
All in all, you are alive, but I still think you need to confront that doctor and give him the pieces of your appendix with a bowtie on them in appreciation of his skills.

Hey, just heard about your ordeal in mouse's diary. I hope you are feeling alright. Trust me that the pain goes away, it's the scar and all the muscles they cut through that really suck. It took me a year for the stomach to stop looking lopsided. I hope you don't have the same problems.
